# Connect Google Search Console

> Authorize Google safely, discover all accessible properties, and resolve missing or unverified sites.

This guide documents current CrawlRaven v2 behavior. UI labels are written exactly where relevant. Bounded Search Console rows are evidence, not guaranteed exhaustive totals.

## Connect a Google account

1. **Open Google accounts** — From the account menu, choose `Google accounts`, or open [Search Console sites](https://app.crawlraven.com/connections).
2. **Start authorization** — Select Allow Search Console access for the first connection, or + Connect Google account to add another.
3. **Choose the account in Google** — Use the account that owns or can access the Search Console properties you want.
4. **Approve read-only access** — Return to CrawlRaven after Google finishes the consent flow. The property list refreshes automatically.

Connected accounts appear near the top of the page with a green check. Properties are grouped under the Google email that supplied access, which makes it easier to trace a property when you manage client or company accounts.

## Understand the property list

| Label | What it means | What you can do |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Owner | The connected account owns the Search Console property. | Activate the site if a site choice is available. |
| Full access | The account can view all relevant Search Console data. | Activate the site. |
| Restricted | The account has restricted Search Console access. | Activate the site; available data follows Google's permission. |
| Unverified | Google reports that this account cannot currently use the property. | Get access in Search Console, then reconnect Google. |
| Reconnection required | The Google authorization expired or was revoked. | Select Reconnect Google before expecting fresh data. |

Search Console may expose the same domain as a domain property and one or more URL prefix properties. CrawlRaven presents the usable site choice by domain so you do not accidentally create duplicate site cards for the same host.

## Connect additional Google accounts

Select `+ Connect Google account` and repeat the Google consent flow. Connecting another account does not consume a site choice. It only adds the properties that account can see to the selection page.

> **Connect accounts before choosing permanent sites:** If your domains are spread across several Google accounts, connect all of them first. You can then compare the complete property list before activating anything.

## If a property is missing

1. Open Google Search Console with the same Google email shown in CrawlRaven.
2. Confirm the property exists and the account has Owner, Full, or Restricted access.
3. If the site is new, add and verify it in Search Console first.
4. Return to CrawlRaven and select `Reconnect Google` to refresh access and the property list.
5. If the property belongs to another account, select `+ Connect Google account` and authorize that account instead.

> **No properties yet is not a data import error:** It means Google returned no Search Console properties for that account. Add or request access in Search Console, then reconnect so CrawlRaven can discover the change.
