WooRank Review: The Instant Score Is Free. The Depth Costs $89.99 a Month.
I pulled WooRank's own checkout data for real prices and ran the SE Ranking math. Here's who the $89.99 website grader is actually for, and who should pass.
WooRank is the website grader that made the 0-100 SEO score famous, now owned by Bridgeline Digital. My rating: 3.2/5.
- What it is: Instant website reviews, a 2,500-10,000 page Site Crawl, keyword tracking, and white-label PDF reports. Founded in Brussels in 2010, acquired by Bridgeline in 2021.
- Pricing (verified August 2026): Pro is $89.99/month or $639/year ($53.25/month) for 1 website and 50 keywords. Premium is $199.99/month or $1,599/year for 5 websites, 250 keywords, and unlimited white-label PDFs. A Lite tier lists at $19.99/month for 100 page reviews. Trial is 3 days, card required.
- The catch: Suite-level pricing for grader-level depth. SE Ranking Core costs about 2x WooRank Pro on annual billing and includes 10x the projects and 40x the tracked keywords.
- Best for: Agencies that sell with the instant score and branded PDFs, and site owners who want a readable health check, not a deep technical audit.
If what you actually need is a prioritized audit rather than a grade, CrawlRaven joins Search Console, GA4, and a 200-point crawl into one ranked plan, from a one-time $49 at launch.
WooRank made the instant website score famous: paste a URL, get a 0-100 grade in a minute. This review prices Pro ($89.99/month) and Premium ($199.99/month) from WooRank's own checkout data and compares it against SE Ranking. A grade is not a plan. Try CrawlRaven free: 1 site, no credit card →
Every SEO has seen a WooRank score. It is the 0-100 grade that launched a thousand agency cold emails: paste the prospect's URL, screenshot the 61, open with “here's what's holding your site back.”
The score is genuinely good at that job. The question this review answers is different: is the platform behind the score worth $89.99 a month in 2026, now that WooRank is a side product inside an ecommerce-search company?
The verdict up front
WooRank scores 3.2/5. It is a polished website grader with agency-friendly reporting, sold at all-in-one-suite prices without all-in-one depth. I scored it on five criteria: instant reviews, white-label reporting, crawl depth, keyword tracking, and pricing value.
- Buy it if the instant score and branded PDF are your sales workflow: prospect audits, lead-gen widgets, client-facing health checks.
- Skip it if you need real SEO capacity. SE Ranking gives you 10 projects and 2,000 keywords for roughly twice WooRank Pro's annual price; WooRank gives you 1 project and 50.
- Skip it too if you need audit depth. A 2,500-page crawl of surface checks is a health check, not a technical audit, and there is no backlink index at all.
WooRank Feature Scorecard
Five buying criteria, rated 1 to 5
The signature 0-100 score is fast, readable, and great for prospect calls
Unlimited branded PDFs on Premium, plus a Lead Gen embed for agencies
2,500-10,000 pages per crawl; surface-level checks vs dedicated auditors
Works, but caps at 50 keywords on Pro; SE Ranking Core includes 2,000
$89.99/mo buys 1 project and 50 keywords; suite pricing for grader depth
Restating the scorecard in plain text: instant reviews 4/5, white-label reporting 4/5, Site Crawl depth 3/5, keyword and rank tracking 3/5, pricing value 2/5. Overall: 3.2/5.
What is WooRank?
WooRank is a SaaS website review and SEO audit tool founded in Brussels in 2010. Its claim to fame is the instant review: a 0-100 score with grouped findings across on-page SEO, mobile, usability, technologies, and social, generated in about a minute. The company says it has analyzed over 50 million websites.
Ownership matters to this review. Bridgeline Digital announced its acquisition of WooRank in February 2021, and WooRank now lives inside a public company whose growth story is HawkSearch, an ecommerce site-search product. Three consequences follow.
- It is not abandoned. WooRank still ships maintenance updates: GA4 data now flows into reports, and accessibility scanning arrived via an accessiBe partnership.
- It is not the priority either. Bridgeline's fiscal 2026 investor reporting groups WooRank licences with HawkSearch customer deals; the SEO tool is increasingly a bundled companion product.
- The feature set reflects that. The core grader predates the acquisition, and no major net-new SEO capability (AI visibility tracking, backlink data, deeper crawling) has shipped since.
WooRank key features
Six features carry the product. Honest quality notes on each:
- Instant website reviews. The signature feature and still the best-executed one. Fast, readable, non-technical-stakeholder friendly. The catch: it grades a page against a fixed checklist, so two very different sites can earn similar scores for very different reasons.
- Site Crawl. 2,500 pages per project on Pro, 10,000 on Premium. It catches broken links, redirects, thin metadata, and duplicate titles. It does not approach the depth of a dedicated crawler like Screaming Frog or Sitebulb.
- Keyword tool. Rank tracking for 50 keywords on Pro, 250 on Premium, with SERP position history and competitor comparison against 3 rivals. Fine for a small site; an agency book outgrows it immediately.
- White-label PDF reports. Unlimited branded reports on Premium, with custom logo and content. This is WooRank's strongest agency argument, and it is included rather than sold as an add-on.
- Lead Gen tool. An embeddable widget that offers visitors a free site review in exchange for their email. Genuinely clever for agency sites; few competitors ship an equivalent.
- Assistant and Core Web Vitals. In-app guidance plus Core Web Vitals monitoring, alongside integrations for Google Analytics, Search Console, and Facebook, uptime alerts, and browser extensions for instant reviews.
What is missing is as telling as what is there: no backlink index, no content optimization tools, no AI search visibility tracking, and page-review API access that only opens up fully on Enterprise.
WooRank pricing in 2026 (verified August 2026)
I verified these numbers against the plan data embedded in woorank.com's own pricing page in August 2026, not against third-party listicles, several of which still quote the old $79.99 Pro price.
- Lite: $19.99/month. 100 page reviews, unlimited PDF exports, browser extensions. (The one figure WooRank renders only at checkout; third-party listings agree on $19.99.)
- Pro: $89.99/month, or a $639 one-year licence ($53.25/month). 1 website project, 50 tracked keywords, 2,500-page Site Crawl, 3 competitors, unlimited reviews and PDF reports.
- Premium: $199.99/month, or $1,599/year ($133.25/month). 5 projects, 250 keywords, 10,000-page crawl, unlimited white-label PDFs, Lead Gen tool, priority support.
- Enterprise: custom. Full API access, unlimited projects and keywords, benchmarking, workflows, team access, SSO.
The free trial is 3 days and requires billing information. That is short: SE Ranking gives 14 days without a card.
What WooRank Costs (verified August 2026)
| Plan | Monthly | Annual licence | What it buys |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lite | $19.99/mo | n/a | 100 page reviews, unlimited PDF exports, browser extensions |
| Pro | $89.99/mo | $639/yr ($53.25/mo) | 1 website, 50 keywords, 2,500-page Site Crawl, 3 competitors |
| Premium | $199.99/mo | $1,599/yr ($133.25/mo) | 5 websites, 250 keywords, 10,000-page crawl, white-label PDFs, Lead Gen |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Full API, unlimited projects and keywords, workflows, SSO |
WooRank Pro billed monthly totals $3,239.64 over three years, or $1,917 on annual licences. A CrawlRaven lifetime licence launched at a one-time $49 for 3 sites.
The 1-year and 3-year math
Pre-calculated, so you don't have to:
- Pro billed monthly: $1,079.88/year, $3,239.64 over three years.
- Pro annual licences: $639/year, $1,917 over three years. The annual licence saves $440.88/year, a 41% discount, which tells you how much WooRank wants you off monthly billing.
- Premium billed monthly: $2,399.88/year. The $1,599 annual licence saves $800.88.
- CrawlRaven, for comparison: a lifetime licence launched at a one-time $49 for 3 sites ($99 for the 10-site white-label tier). Lifetime pricing steps up as licenses sell, so check the pricing page for the current batch. See pricing for the current batch. One year of WooRank Pro on monthly billing costs roughly 22x that launch price, every year.
WooRank vs SE Ranking
This is the comparison most WooRank shoppers actually run, and it is close to unfair. WooRank is a website grader with tracking bolted on; SE Ranking is a full all-in-one suite with rank tracking, keyword research, a native backlink checker, and a 250,000-page monthly audit allowance on its cheapest plan.
WooRank vs SE Ranking (August 2026)
| Dimension | WooRank | SE Ranking | Winner |
|---|---|---|---|
| Entry price (annual) | $53.25/mo ($639/yr) | $103.20/mo ($1,238.40/yr) | WooRank |
| Projects included | 1 (Pro) | 10 (Core) | SE Ranking |
| Tracked keywords | 50 (Pro) | 2,000 daily (Core) | SE Ranking |
| Audit crawl allowance | 2,500 pages (Pro) | 250,000 pages/mo (Core) | SE Ranking |
| White-label reports | Unlimited on Premium ($133.25/mo annual) | Agency Pack add-on, +$69/mo | WooRank |
| Backlink data | No index of its own | Native backlink checker | SE Ranking |
| Free trial | 3 days, card required | 14 days, no card | SE Ranking |
| G2 rating | 4.3/5 (52 reviews) | 4.7/5 | SE Ranking |
Budget verdict: WooRank is the cheaper invoice; SE Ranking is the cheaper tool per unit of capacity. Core costs roughly 2x WooRank Pro on annual billing and includes 10x the projects and 40x the tracked keywords.
SE Ranking vs WooRank: the key takeaways
- Capacity is the story. SE Ranking Core ($129/month, or $103.20/month annual) includes 10 projects and 2,000 daily-tracked keywords. WooRank Pro ($89.99/month) includes 1 project and 50 keywords.
- Audit allowances aren't close. 250,000 pages a month on Core versus a 2,500-page crawl on Pro.
- WooRank wins white-label out of the box. Unlimited branded PDFs ship with Premium. SE Ranking charges $69/month extra for its Agency Pack, annual billing only; the full breakdown is in our SE Ranking pricing guide.
- WooRank wins the trial nobody loves. Actually no: 3 days with a card versus SE Ranking's 14 days without one. SE Ranking wins that too.
- Ratings agree. WooRank holds 4.3/5 on G2 (52 reviews); SE Ranking holds 4.7/5. Neither number is close enough to argue with.
SE Ranking vs WooRank for your budget
The budget verdict depends on which number you are minimizing:
- Minimizing the invoice: WooRank. Pro's $639 annual licence is about half of SE Ranking Core's $1,238.40/year on annual billing, and the $19.99 Lite tier has no SE Ranking equivalent at all.
- Minimizing cost per unit of work: SE Ranking, and it is not close. Twice the price buys 10x the projects, 40x the keywords, and 100x the audit pages, plus backlink data WooRank simply does not have.
- Minimizing recurring spend entirely: neither. If audits and client reports are the actual job, CrawlRaven's one-time lifetime licence (from $49 at launch) replaces the subscription with a purchase; both suites bill you again every month you keep them.
My one-sentence version: WooRank for grading one site cheaply, SE Ranking for doing SEO, CrawlRaven for turning the audit into a ranked plan without a subscription.
Performance in practice
The instant review is WooRank at its best: results in about a minute, grouped into sections a non-technical stakeholder can follow, exportable to a PDF that looks like you designed it. Reviewers consistently praise exactly this, and it is why the tool survives in agency sales stacks.
The audit layer underneath is thinner. Three limits to know before buying:
- Checklist grading, not prioritization. Every issue is a line item; nothing tells you which fix moves rankings, because WooRank never joins the crawl to your search or engagement data.
- Crawl ceilings arrive fast. 2,500 pages on Pro is a mid-size WooCommerce store, not an enterprise site. Premium's 10,000 still trails dedicated crawlers by an order of magnitude.
- Rate-limited free reviews. The free instant reviews that hook you are capped; sustained use pushes you to the 3-day trial and then the paid plans.
User experience and interface
This is the part of WooRank nobody criticizes. Setup is minutes: connect a domain, optionally link Google Analytics and Search Console, and the first review is waiting before the coffee is.
- Learning curve: nearly flat. The score-and-sections format explains itself. Junior staff and clients can read it unassisted.
- The extensions are a quiet perk. Chrome and Firefox add-ons grade any page you are on, free, without opening the app.
- The design is dated in places. Parts of the interface visibly predate the 2021 acquisition, and the weekly email digest is more nudge than insight.
WooRank pros and cons
- ✓Instant 0-100 website reviews that non-technical stakeholders actually read
- ✓Unlimited white-label PDF reports included on Premium, no add-on fee
- ✓Lead Gen widget turns your own site into an audit-based lead magnet
- ✓Very low learning curve; free Chrome and Firefox extensions
- ✓GA4, Search Console, and Facebook integrations plus uptime alerts
- ✓41% discount on annual licences ($639/year for Pro)
- ✗$89.99/month buys 1 project and 50 keywords; suite pricing for grader depth
- ✗No backlink index of its own, and no content or AI visibility tools
- ✗Site Crawl caps at 2,500 pages (Pro) / 10,000 (Premium) with surface-level checks
- ✗3-day trial with billing info required, versus 14 days free at SE Ranking
- ✗Product momentum has slowed since the 2021 Bridgeline acquisition
- ✗Scores grade a checklist; nothing prioritizes fixes by ranking impact
Reading WooRank's own plan data, the thing that jumped out at me was the 41% annual discount. Companies discount that hard when monthly churn is expensive, and I think WooRank's churn story is simple: the score is a brilliant first date and a thin marriage.
I'd happily use the free extension forever. I would not pay $1,079.88 a year for one project and 50 keywords when that money buys an SE Ranking Core plan with capacity to spare, or twenty years of a CrawlRaven launch licence.
Who is WooRank best for?
Three profiles get real value:
- Agencies selling with audits. The instant score, the Lead Gen widget, and unlimited branded PDFs form a coherent prospecting kit. Premium at $133.25/month annual is the tier that makes sense here.
- Small business owners who want a readable health check. The Lite tier at $19.99/month is the honest entry point: 100 page reviews and PDFs without suite pricing.
- Consultants doing one-off prospect assessments. The browser extension plus occasional Lite months beats a standing subscription.
Who should skip it
- Anyone running keyword-led SEO. 50 tracked keywords on Pro is a hobby allocation. SE Ranking, Semrush, or Ahrefs are the right shelf.
- Technical SEOs. A 2,500-page surface crawl cannot replace Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, or a 200-point audit.
- Link builders. There is no backlink index. Full stop.
- In-house teams needing prioritization. WooRank grades; it does not rank fixes by impact or connect them to the queries and sessions you are losing.
What reviewers say
WooRank's third-party ratings are solid rather than stellar: 4.3/5 on G2 from 52 reviews and 4.4/5 on Capterra from 69 reviews (both checked August 2026). The pattern across them is consistent: praise for speed and readability, friction on price.
“I can quickly check the health of my sites and make sure they are optimized for search engines.”
★★★★★Capterra
“At 79.99, to offer an automated website assessment is a bit expensive.”
★★★★★Capterra
Note on that second quote: it references WooRank's old $79.99 Pro price. Pro now costs $89.99/month, so the reviewer's complaint has gotten $10 stronger since they wrote it.
WooRank alternatives
Four tools cover the jobs people hire WooRank for, plus the one it doesn't do:
- SE Ranking. The natural upgrade. From $103.20/month annual you get a genuine all-in-one: 10 projects, 2,000 keywords, backlinks, and a 250,000-page audit allowance. Rated 4.7/5 on G2.
- Sitebulb. From $13/month, the best visual explanations in technical auditing. For when the crawl itself is the deliverable.
- Screaming Frog. $279/year for the deepest configurable desktop crawler. Zero hand-holding, maximum control.
- Semrush. $139.95/month for the widest all-in-one: 140+ audit checks, content tools, and competitive research WooRank never attempts.
- CrawlRaven, our tool, for the use case WooRank exposes but cannot serve: turning findings into priorities. It joins Google Search Console, GA4, and a 200-point technical crawl into one ranked plan, with white-label reports on the $99 launch-price lifetime tier and licences from a one-time $49 at launch. Free plan: 1 website, no credit card.
- Free stopgap: At $89.99 a month for one project, the instant score is the expensive part. Our free SEO report generator produces a client-ready audit report for any site, with no project cap to budget around.
Frequently asked questions
Basics
- Who owns WooRank? Bridgeline Digital, a Nasdaq-listed software company, acquired WooRank (founded Brussels, 2010) in 2021. WooRank is maintained but sits second to Bridgeline's HawkSearch ecommerce search product.
- Is the WooRank score a Google ranking factor? No. It is WooRank's own checklist grade. A rising score usually correlates with healthier pages, but Google neither sees nor uses it.
Pricing
- What does WooRank cost? Lite $19.99/month, Pro $89.99/month ($639/year annual), Premium $199.99/month ($1,599/year), Enterprise custom. Verified on woorank.com in August 2026.
- Is there a free trial? 3 days, billing information required. The free instant reviews and browser extensions remain free but rate-limited.
WooRank vs SE Ranking
- Which should I buy? WooRank if the deliverable is a branded score report and the budget stops near $50-60/month annualized. SE Ranking for everything past that: our SE Ranking review rates it 4.2/5, a full point above WooRank's 3.2/5 here.
- Does either replace a technical audit? No. WooRank crawls 2,500-10,000 pages of surface checks; SE Ranking audits more pages but still stops at flagging. A prioritized technical audit joined to search data is CrawlRaven's job.
Final verdict: a great free tool with an expensive subscription attached
WooRank: 3.2/5. The instant review deserves its reputation, the white-label reporting is genuinely agency-ready, and the product is easier to read than anything else in its class.
But in 2026 the paid tiers price WooRank against suites it cannot match. $89.99/month sits above SE Ranking's effective annual rate while delivering a fraction of the capacity, and the Bridgeline era has kept the product maintained rather than moving.
- Use free WooRank (the extension, the occasional instant review) without hesitation.
- Pay for Lite or Premium only if the score-and-PDF workflow is literally how you win clients.
- For the audit itself, get a plan instead of a grade: CrawlRaven joins Search Console, GA4, and a 200-point crawl into one ranked to-do list, from a one-time $49 at launch. Free plan: 1 website, no credit card required.
Frequently asked questions
What is WooRank?
WooRank is a website review and SEO audit tool best known for its instant 0-100 website score. It bundles a Site Crawl (2,500 to 10,000 pages depending on plan), keyword tracking, competitor benchmarking, white-label PDF reports, and a lead-generation widget for agencies. Founded in Brussels in 2010, it was acquired by Bridgeline Digital in 2021 and now sits alongside Bridgeline's HawkSearch product line.
How much does WooRank cost in 2026?
As of August 2026, WooRank Pro costs $89.99/month, or $639 for a one-year licence ($53.25/month equivalent). Premium costs $199.99/month, or $1,599/year ($133.25/month). A Lite tier lists at $19.99/month for 100 page reviews with unlimited PDF exports. Enterprise is custom-quoted and adds full API access, unlimited projects and keywords, workflows, and SSO. Prices verified against woorank.com's own pricing page in August 2026.
Is WooRank free?
Partially. WooRank offers a limited number of free instant website reviews, plus free Chrome and Firefox extensions that grade any page you visit. Sustained use requires a paid plan, and the paid trial is 3 days with billing information required. There is no permanently free plan with full features.
Is WooRank still being developed?
Yes, but it is no longer the star of its own company. Bridgeline Digital acquired WooRank in 2021 and its growth engine is HawkSearch, its ecommerce site-search product; Bridgeline's fiscal 2026 reporting groups WooRank licences with HawkSearch customer deals. WooRank still ships maintenance-level updates, including GA4 reporting integration and accessibility scanning via an accessiBe partnership, but the pace of net-new SEO features has slowed.
Is WooRank better than SE Ranking?
For most SEO work, no. SE Ranking Core ($129/month, or $103.20/month annual) includes 10 projects, 2,000 daily-tracked keywords, 250,000 audit pages a month, and a native backlink checker; WooRank Pro ($89.99/month) includes 1 project, 50 keywords, and a 2,500-page crawl with no backlink index. WooRank wins on entry price and on out-of-the-box white-label PDFs, which cost an extra $69/month on SE Ranking. It is rated 4.3/5 on G2 vs SE Ranking's 4.7/5.
Which is cheaper, WooRank or SE Ranking?
WooRank is the cheaper invoice: Pro on an annual licence is $639/year versus $1,238.40/year for SE Ranking Core on annual billing. Per unit of capacity, SE Ranking is far cheaper: roughly twice the price buys 10x the projects and 40x the tracked keywords. If your whole job is grading one site, WooRank costs less; if you run real keyword and audit workflows, SE Ranking delivers more per dollar.
Does WooRank do backlink analysis?
Not meaningfully. WooRank has no backlink index of its own, so it cannot replace Ahrefs, Semrush, Moz, or even SE Ranking's native backlink checker for link analysis. Its reviews focus on on-page, technical, usability, and social criteria. If backlinks matter to your workflow, you will need a second tool alongside WooRank.
What are the best WooRank alternatives?
SE Ranking ($129/month) is the best upgrade path if you want a full all-in-one suite. Sitebulb (from $13/month) and Screaming Frog ($279/year) go far deeper on technical crawling. Semrush ($139.95/month) adds competitive research and content tools. And CrawlRaven replaces the grader-plus-spreadsheet workflow entirely: it joins Google Search Console, GA4, and a 200-point technical crawl into one ranked plan, with lifetime licences from a one-time $49 at launch.
Can CrawlRaven replace WooRank?
For audits and client reporting, yes. WooRank grades a site and hands you a score; CrawlRaven's 200-point audit is ranked by ranking impact and joined to your Search Console queries and GA4 engagement data, so the output is a prioritized to-do list rather than a grade. White-label PDF reports are included on the $99 launch-price lifetime tier. Where WooRank keeps an edge is the instant prospect-facing score and its lead-gen widget.
